|White Out the Stigma – Cause: Teen Suicide Awareness
Denver Area youth will be gathering to “white out” the stigma surrounding teen mental illness. By bringing together impactful speakers and local nonprofits focused on suicide prevention students hope to transform the dialog and change perceptions in order to reduce the stigma of teen mental health.
Growing Art – Cause: Community Building and Neighborhood Beautification
Saturday, April 13th 10AM-2PM at the United Church of Montbello
Teens in the CYL Northeast Denver Chapter feel strongly about growing the pride in their neighborhoods. They invite community members to help make their mark by supporting a community art and garden project. Students hope to make this an ongoing project in order to “grow” their impact throughout the summer.
Clear Minds Clear Trails – Cause: Teen Mental Health and Environmental Stewardship

Being a teen can be really stressful! Mindfulness is a powerful way to handle stress and live life more fully. Teens in Jefferson County are combining their passion for outdoor stewardship with a chance to teach teens mindfulness and coping skills. This guided hike will provide the opportunity to explore the outdoors, clean a local trail, and clear your mind of stress before heading into the end of the school year.
Tipi Racers – Cause: “Race to Raise”5K Run-Walk for the Lakota People living on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation
Sunday, April 14th 8:15AM-12PM at DeKoevend Park
Get your feet moving to help raise money for Lakota Families living on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. In collaboration with CYL partner, The Tipi Raisers students will be hosting a 5k Run/Walk support a community facing grinding poverty.
